Building great products through a clear process and real collaboration.

I’ve been a designer for a long time, and I love how the practice has evolved over the years. I’ve evolved alongside it. The tools are better, and the craft is sharper, but the fundamentals remain the same: solve the right problem, and build the right thing, in the right way for the user.

When working with designers, most people focus on the look and feel of the finished product. But there’s a lot that happens behind the scenes to make a design truly work. Much of it, you don't see. For me, it all starts with identifying the right problem and iterating until the solution can’t get any better. That means lots of divergent thinking, exploring different approaches, and stripping away the unnecessary. And making things simple, but never boring. The intellectual side of design, the heavy lifting before any visual design, is what excites me most.

Over the years, I’ve developed methods and ways of working that help me move quickly through the early, ever-changing phases of the process. But I also know when to slow down and match the pace to what the work really needs.

I’ve worked at startups, where I feel most at home, designing and building new products, as well as at larger companies like Zendesk and Google. Each experience has taught me something new and helped shape me into a well-rounded designer.

I’m adept at turning rough ideas into viable products. Going from whiteboard sketch to product design in a weekend. I can prototype, vibe code, and produce vision work to bring ambitious ideas to life. Alongside design, I’ve coached designers, led teams, and have enough product management chops to plan, prioritize, and organize work.

I love this practice, and I’d love to help you bring your ideas to life.

Helping teams move fast and deliver

I design digital products for ambitious teams and founders who want to move fast and build things that matter. I keep projects organized, transparent, and frictionless through a practical, momentum-driven approach. I share progress and communicate openly. And I bring structure to ambiguous work, using the right tools and processes to keep work moving forward.

How I work with teams

Great products come from valuing every idea and working closely together. At Zendesk, I led the design of Action Builder, launching a workflow automation tool in just 77 days; at Google, I helped create a minimal Android phone experience. I always focus on solving the right problem in the right way, within each project’s unique constraints.

Principles for great teamwork

Openness, kindness, and true collaboration are the foundation of great teams. I keep the design process clear and inclusive, sharing work early and often so everyone can contribute and stay informed. Above all, I value integrity and strive to create a safe, supportive environment where the best ideas can thrive.

Jess’ ability to meticulously plan and effectively communicate her strategies is impressive. Her innovative use of the Miro board to map out our triple diamond process with corresponding timelines and activities sets a new standard in our design approach. I truly admire her courage to assertively manage expectations and emphasize the importance of adhering to a robust design process, despite challenging timelines.

Workshops and community

I regularly run expert-led workshops for designers, in partnership with ReThink (US). These sessions help designers build skills, confidence, and stronger peer collaboration.

Leadership through support, challenge, and action

I believe leadership is about creating the conditions for people to do their best work. That means support when it’s needed, challenge when it matters, and a steady push toward action. I hold a high bar, but I don’t believe in throwing people in the deep end without backup. Great work comes from high standards paired with trust, honest feedback, and real guidance. To me, leadership isn’t about control; it’s about setting direction, clearing roadblocks, and helping others grow along the way.

Outside of work

Outside of work, I spend my time on side projects, working out, exploring new neighborhoods, trying cafes, cooking, and taking photos. I also run a weekly publication called Everyday UX, where I share practical advice, creative ideas, and tools to help designers grow their mindset and skills.
