Sketch 3 was recently released and it has some seriously great updates. One of which everyone is admiring is Symbol support. Symbol support allows you to reuse assets and when you update any of the assets, it updates globally wherever the asset is being used. So for example if you have a button style in your designs and you have 15 pages or screens in your designs and the button is used throughout – instead of updating each button on each page you can update one button and the change will be applied to all buttons.
Sketch 3 comes packed with a built-in style guide comprised of Symbols and Styled text. The default styles are great for rapid design prototyping or bootstrap-style design.
Sketch’s Default Symbol & Styled Text Styles
I like to be able to quickly copy and paste assets and have a visual library to reference when doing so; additionally, I like to work with assets that have some visual niceties even when designing in bootstrap mode. In a very short amount of time I put together three themes for Sketch’s default Symbol and Styled Text styles and they are free to download.
Please feel free to download, use as you wish, modify and create your own styles. All I ask is that if you can, please share back with the rest of the community. Happy Sketching!
